My thirteen-year-old daughter has a very tenacious mind. That is, if she wants something to happen, she is incapable of talking about anything else. And she's REALLY into the Hillywood YouTube channel these days, which means that every 28 minutes for two weeks she would say to me and/or Jason, "Do you want to watch Hillywood now? Pleeeeeease?" And usually this would be while we were in the middle of cooking dinner or showering or vacuuming or pooping, and the answer was always "Not now, sweetie." Eventually the answer became "Shut up about it!" Until I, at least, was predisposed to hate Hillywood on sight. About a week ago I finally plumped down in front of the TV, arms akimbo, and said "Fine. I'm watching."
She showed me the Doctor Who cover of the Time Warp.
I fucking LOVED it.
So now I'm crazy about Hillywood too. Even the Harry Potter stuff, which is funny because I am so not into Harry Potter. But they have parodied Lord of the Rings and Twilight and ever so much more! There's tons of it. I've barely scratched the surface. So Go! Watch Hillywood! Be entertained! Tip your waitress!
Goodnight.
